Passport applications: All passport applications, except children under 12 years of age, require you to attend the Consulate in Sydney or Embassy in Canberra in person due to the requirement of biometrics. Emergency passport / passport extension: The consulate in Melbourne can assist you with the issuing of an emergency passport or extension of your existing passport, subject to conditions applicable. In an emergency, please text 0419 345 949.

International Drivers License: In most instances, an authenticated translation of your Danish drivers license will suffice for short-term holiday stays in Australia. Please email a scanned copy of your license and we will advice when you can pick-up the completed document against payment of a $50 processing fee per translation. If you require a posted return of the document, please forward a reply paid self-addressed envelope containing the $50 processing fee per translation.

Translation of birth / marriage / death certificates: Please email a scanned copy of the relevant certificate and we will advice when you can pick-up the completed document against payment of a $50 processing fee per translation. Borger Service: For Danes, having questions relating to obtaining copies of birth certificates, danish pension, NemID, danish tax obligations, marriage, divorce, inheritance and all other sundry matters pertaining to being or having been a “borger” in Denmark, please refer to www.borger.dk
